Ingredients
  • 1 lb of beef chuck
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cups of water
  • 0.5 cup of soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp of mirin
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
Instructions
  1. Thinly slice the beef
  2. Slice the onion to ⅛” thick
  3. Mix water, hondashi, soy sauce and sugar, bring to boil
  4. Add sliced onions and beef to the stew, close the lid
  5. bring to boil, remove onions and beef from the pot immediately
  6. Serve over white rice
